Today I began to think that I am much more Peter Recuas than Pedro Hernandez, What's with your nickname? How did you come to it and how did it make you feel? Tell us to know a little more about you :)

In the late '50's and early '60's in rural Arkansas, slingshots were called "flipguns and...um, "African-American" shooters" Both were derogatory. They were viewed with the same contempt that Knights and Gentry of the day regarded, "Peasant Weapons" seen only as fit for people too poor to afford a gun. I have been "Flipping" off people that think they are better than me since I first understood what was going on at age 5. So Flipgun is my symbolic way of defiance; telling folks like that to go fork themselves. ;)

I have a tattoo of a raven sitting on a tree branch and I was born in 78, pretty mundane.

They named me that at the orphanage after I was found wrapped in an old blanket with a note pinned to it :(

That is absolutely stunning. It speaks to me on a number of different levels...a tenuous link with a distant past, a stark prediction of a possible future, a mélange of the significant and the mundane.......

Thanks Fletch, very kind of you. Although, seeing a "stark prediction of a possible future"... that's just a Doc Voodoo thing, right? <puts on reading glasses to look closely at the old thing>

As much as I would happily whip it out I don't think this time or the place. If I had been asked to prove it when I was a teenager I would have just said ask your mum, but I've almost grown up now.

My god you make me sick,
Coming on here with your fancy nickname and your enormous penis.
I bet you’ve never had Rickets either.
      Your sort make me puke.
Waving it around like the winner of a foot long Cumberland sausage.
I bet you eat that fancy “twice cooked bread” as well.
      Look what you’ve done,
I’ve vomited on my Tripe ‘n’ Cowheal pastie.
