Last Wednesday I had a total knee replacement on the left leg. The operation was a success. After 3 days sucking on a Dilaudid dispenser, the hospital shoved my butt out of the bed so they reload it with someone else. I was transported to a rehab center. (the short story;) )
It wasn't until Monday that I saw anyone other than the Jamaican staff. By then I had decided that there was nothing they were doing here that I could not do at home. Besides I was getting increasingly concerned about my wife and her sister not having me there. So I convinced them that it would be okay to let me go. Processing out with arrangements for Home Health visitors and trying to get my insurance to cough up on a shower chair...It will be tomorrow afternoon before they let me go.
About the knee replacement itself. Jesus Christ!! how can anyone stand to do this to themselves a second time? When the left gets well and the right gets worse I'll will probably reconsider, But left will have to be a lot better and the right a LOT! worse. My main complaint is not really the knee itself but my thigh. It turns out that they put you in a brace to stretch your leg and my thigh is crazy bruised and wicked sore. Danged thing still clicks and pops though. I'll add to this if I think I (k)need too.

Tks for the update Flip, please do what the physical terrorist ( therapist ?)tells you to as far as rehab.....especially once you get home.

You’ll lose a lot of mobility if you don’t put that work in......been there done that, course my knee surgery was a damn site easier recovery than my shoulder surgery....but both were a literal pain in my a$$

No surgery needed at this point for my a$$, LOL [emoji23][emoji38]

Thanx Guys! They are gonna drop by 3 times for sure and I have copies of the plan. I went to their gym a couple of times and did a lot better than I had hoped.
You can bet that I'm going to put in the work because I have to get Back to work soonest.

Just make sure you take it easy because you still develop a blood clot and it won't be good my first knee surgery I got a blood clot about 2 weeks after surgery but then again I was doing stuff so I probably shouldn't have been doing at the time my sister got a blood clot 2 days after hernia surgery and went to her brain and after they got that fixed about a week after that she had another blood clot that went to her heart so just be careful flip gun be safe

Take care bro, my Dad had that surgery twice on the same knee, first one did not take properly. You sound like you have the right mentality of doing the exercises and all. Be well :)
