First buy a $6-$10 phone tripod. Second rip the legs off the tripod. Third drill a hole and remove some of the material in the bill of an old ball cap. Fourth mount the phone holder onto the bill. Fifth find your best shooter and film some wing shots!

Great stuff. Top idea - well executed. Might have a crack at this if I can pick up a cheap camera stand on the way home

It works well boys, but I just copied Darrell's idea except with a phone instead of a small digital camera.... I can't take credit for coming up with it.

You are ate up, son! I love it when the video freezes and captures the bands at full draw, in line with the target... "I love the smell of napalm in the morning! "Like Lt. Col. William Kilgore

It's all fun and games till you hit the wrong thing too close and a shot rebounds..That's never happened to me.. but you know.. it could.. so be careful not to smash your phones into your heads while ducking.. not that that has ever happened to me.. just.. you know.. heads up yo.

      This is my result:

Some of you may think why the mount is not centered. I've made three drills depending which style I am shooting. When I use my competition slingshots I shoot completely upright. Nevertheless I tilt my head a bit forward when I use other slingshots.
In order to counteract the tilting of my head and therefore to keep as much as possible the target in the center of the frame I have made the three different holes.

As you can see, a tripod is not needed. I bought it but I have not received it yet after 1 month waiting (complain to Paypal sent already). I decided to try if I could came up with a solution and it is as simple as 2 small flat metal pieces.

I do plan to record myself next month in summer tournament and record some POV videos in the middle of the competition.

      Happy shooting guys.

Great idea! I'm gonna have to try this with my rig, as it only works well for pfs shooting straight on. Now hopefully I can get pov's standing sideways aiming at targets.

Always love a good POV rig brother. I made one for my Sony cyber shot camera using a $4 hat a washer,a bolt, and a nut.

That is fine shooting . You have plenty of time to tap each can twice before it hits the ground. I like the cam rig. Give the two hits on a can a try and lets see it.

I've learned to shoot with my middle finger and thumb to load faster, but I'm no where need the speed I need for a double tap. I'll practice though.
