So everybody’s eating leftovers today right
This is a piece of desert ironwood that I started to make a conus butt it had some uglies and as usual i F’d up so I quit working on it . Threw it in the to do in winter time barrel .
    Thanksgiving leftover
I’m making two conus’s right now my new stealth radar cut feels real good in “my” hands so much don’t think I ll make another without this cut :) . This desert ironwood is some of the prettiest wood and I found out that it takes fork hits very well . Very heavy tight grained beautiful grain wood , and when you put it in the sunlight the light color shines off as gold and it is just gorgeous . Now let’s see if we can get some sanding done time to go sit out on the front porch look for a moose watch Nugget play around

      Yes I love leftovers !
OK so the backstory is I have made a few desert ironwood Conus s this one I started but screwed up and didn’t know what I was doing so I threw it in the box to do later and now is later love the cut so much
      Now here’s The sacrifice Lol
I have a little collection going on and I wanted to save a nice desert ironwood Conus for myself One was my wide fork
And the other was just a conus but made just right and had beautiful lines
I have given both of those away today as Christmas presents because I am keeping this one for myself . Desert ironwood is a funny wood when there’s no sun it’s very dark antique looking as soon as the sun comes out all of the lines turned to gold

There’s just not enough sunlight to capture the beauty and the lines inside this to get up close and to see them it’s nice
      Two keepers

Those are beautiful Clint, I just love a sexy piece of wood.

BTW, it was almost your fault as I had to make a trip to the grocery store this morning, and I must’ve stood in the aisle looking at that can of Spam for a good 3 mins, LOL.....danged near bought it, haha.

      Those are some beauties, Clint.

Buddy of mine wife is from Quam and she fries up the best Spam and eggs I've ever had.
