This is the 8th SWOPFS frame that I have built. With each one, I am trying to do something a little bit different than the previous one. This one has two new features that I wanted to use. First is the aluminum core that was cut by @joe-032 a few months back. Finally got around to using it and it is laminated between two slices of Rosewood. Next on the palm swell there is a thin piece of orange G10 as a layer for the Osage Orange pieces on top. I sanded down to 400 as I like to feel the wood and finish is only BLO. Just as I was finishing up #8, I got a surprise inside the Saunders Wing Pass-around package (another story) where I found the SWOPFS built by Mike @Stankard757 with his amazing book matched split frame signature design. Banded everything up with my favorite BSB 0.5mm semi butterfly bands and quickly got to work on some can cutting and tin can surgery. Starting to think about No 9....... Together with Mike's Split Frame Design. Palm swell are from a coffee table Certified, It works. Less than 10 shots on this can. Bottom went flying over the fence. Some Sweet shooting on a Sweetwater can! Nice Mike, great shooter! Wrapped up with some play time on this one.
