After an eternity of delays with the post office, slingmail from Slingin-N-Shot finally arrived! He sent one of the sweetest pocket-sized natural forks ever. Plus some tubes in about the brightest colors ever. I was a little surprised that he gave up the toxic green bands!

Once I got past the gleaming, flawless finish on this fork and held it, I found it just melted into my hand. With a 5-½ inch overall length and 2-½ inch fork width, it is a very handy size. The 1-inch fork gap makes it a very forgiving shooter, too.

I’m not sure of the wood, but it is light in both color and weight. My guess is Darrell roasted this a bit to accentuate the grain, which is lovely. Additional touches include perfectly filed band grooves on the target side of the forks, and Darrell’s distinctive turquoise inlaid Maker’s Mark on the butt.

The package also included a solid and well made steel frameless ring for shooting flats. I’ll have to give that a try soon. I have been curious about them, but happy with shooting frameless tubes. Awesome stuff!

Thanks again, Darrell!
Scored a Sling-N-Shot natty!
