Since I’ve been here I’ve gotten great advice on my setup and you guys tolerate my antics and shenanigans very well. I truly appreciate it and it’s definitely more to come!

I do have one question though; when I always post these flavor of the week hack job shooters with the double tubes and a handful of 5/16 steel just how many of y’all shake your head and chuckle “I bet that poor [email protected]$tards hands are taking beating just to cut a dang can”? Or “he’s only shooting 35 feet for crying out loud”. Lol

Starting tomorrow I’m going back to the singles and start working on dialing in my accuracy hopefully save some digits in the process.

I’m not going to rule out pseudo tapers or slightly bigger singles though!!! Lol

I started shooting doubles TBG that could have launch billiard balls :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: we have all been there. At one point though about making a special glove cuz of the hands slaps :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: i figured they were normal o_O:D
      Cheers.

I started with dubble tbg also shooting lead. we all do it before we understand it's not how hard the bands pull it's how fast the contract . Your doing a fine job soon you'll be busting bottle caps at 50 feet!

Heck, I'm shooting at about 22 feet. Let's not judge one's manhood on the distance to the target, OK? :nailbite:

Not at all! I’m just picking on my over banding.
I’m just like Ricky Bobby, I wanna go fast!

My shooting improved a lot when I started shooting lighter setups. Once you learn the fundamentals it's a breeze to ramp things up.

There's an old saying... It's better to hit your target with a pebble, than to miss it with a boulder!

I've seen your pics... and unconsciously rubbed my hands in pain.

But don't worry, we've all been there, i personally dont shoot tubes any more, i tried them and they are too painful for me... i dont know what i did wrong, but i tried 2045 singles, doubles and pseudo tapered, all of them shooting 3/8 ammo and got handslaps that hurt like hell....

but if you are looking for advice on flatbands, there are a lot of posts on tapers and thickness that can help guide you!

It ain’t that bad lol. I’m going to be sticking to my tubes I have dabbled in flats a bit years ago and I just prefer the convenience of tubes personally. A rogue 107 here and there is about as close to a flat band as I’ll get

Scaled down the bands better on target percentage and 1/4” with singles will cut in about the same number of shots as 3/8” with doubles.
