I copied this from @Devils son in law. I wanted very badly to do something like this. But I could nor think what to so.

This could become our tradition. Tomorrow looped tubes on a flip he sent me, busted cans, and I am going to a local place to sip some local brew and tell stories about my friend, Roger Adams.
Some of them may even be true. Not that his life needs any embellishments.

"Well...since we can't all gather to pay our respects to our good friend Roger, let's take a little time and shoot a round in his honor. Kind of a 21 gun salute from all over the world.

This weekend, take some time to shoot a few rounds in Old Miser's memory. Feel free to post a picture or video and also add anything from your interactions with that truly great guy, Roger Adams."

An annual tradition? I love it, the long Thanksgiving Day weekend!!

I also like the local brews, especially because Roger got me into Home Brewing, he kept suggesting distilling but I'm a beer guy. Unfortunately I have to work second shift all weekend but I'll toast him when I get home at 11.

Cheers to Old Miser, as true a salty rogue as there ever was.

He gifted me a special SPS and told me to aim low...being a tad bit stubborn...I shot typical. There are 2 holes in the wall above my bed. hahaha...

He knew from just talking to me about shooting how I would miss. I saw those as I got to bed late last night and laughed til I cried. hahaha...luckily my wife is a sound sleeper & used to my strange ways.

I just shot with that frame and forgot to aim low...but my backstop is much taller...no 3rd hole. I am a bit disappointed about that.

I am off to drink a local made beer in a brewery by myself on foot. Because that is so Old Miser it fits. He was no fan of commercial brew.

I an feeling the love of the best people I ever met online or otherwise, slingers. ph, and right next to the brewery is a fine local pizza place. A rainy walk seems good to me.
    PS-
I made, Roger, a Tall Snapjaw Turtle...when he liked it I was intolerable for weeks. All I did was add a bit bit leg/fork height. Pics below if I find them.

Believe I may start homebrewing myself.

That's awful :( I sent him a message about a week ago just to check up on him because I hadn't heard or seen much activity from him recently. OM was a great guy and he truly loved slingshots and had a wealth of knowledge under his belt. Tomorrow I'll shoot to his honor :(

I was in the basement shooting a Peghead sent to me by Roger. He told me he loved it and had I shot one? I told him I had not tried one.....a few days later, this little guy is in my mailbox.
I shot till the band broke, now it's outside to move snow! Ugh!

This thread has truly helped me feel a bit better.

I think Old Miser would be pretty happy with his legacy...of generosity, practicality, freindship. Those are rare treasures.

OldMiser told me he slices 2 cans everyday. He hit me up one day and wanted to know if I wanted a slingshot he bought from MojaveMo. He was having a hard time shooting it and getting a lot of hand hits. He wanted his money back so he can buy some milk and eggs.

Here's the sling made by MojaveMo, the black pearl aka - the door knocker.

    Here's to you Oldmiser!!!
