Do you use a router to round the edges over?

Yes, a 3/8" round over bit.

I actually made a template and used a flush trim bit to cut the slingshot frame out, then I used a 3/8 inch round bit.

Have you messed around with the Dremel router bits at all? I don't have an actual router table, but I've gotta Dremel

Looks like a very productive day! Great looking Mule. Is it full size or did you shrink it a little?

Love the FUG design too. Do you have any other FUG frames?

      Good work on both!

I have a Dremel but I've never tried to use it like that, not sure if it would work. I have a router table and shaper, the router table has a 3hp motor and the shaper has a 5hp motor. I use bits with 1/2" shanks.

By the time you you make a 1/4" thick template and 3/4" thick wood for the slingshot it takes a pretty long flush trim bit. I don't think you could use the Dremel in the process that I used to make the slingshots.

I guess the Mule is full size, I downloaded it from the templates forums, I think it was called the mule by Toddy.
The order one was a guessing game, I don't have any FUG frames. After a little trial and error it is really feels good in my hand.

You did very good on both. It is common for people to reduce the Mule to 95% of the template size. Not to make it shoot any better. Just to make it more comfortable to hold.

You will love shooting the FUG, they just lock into your hand and you can get very accurate with it. I have one HDPE version made by YSYEO and I've made a couple others based on it. Still my go to frame for serious shooting. There are a few guys here on the forum with custom make FUG's by YSYEO. All good stuff.

I got to shoot this one today, I don't have bands on the mule yet.

This thing shoots great, although it fits my hand pretty good I saw a few things that I could improve on.
So I headed to the woodshop, I made some changes to the handle angle and the position of the pinky finger hole. I have it cut out sanded and ready for the finish.
I'll post a picture tomorrow before I put the finish on it showing the changes compared to the other one. [IMG]

Here's a couple of pictures that shows the modification I made to the handle, I haven't put any finish on it yet, you can see the difference between the first one I made and the one I'm working on now. The first one fit my hand ok but not like this one. I nailed it this time, it fits my hand like a glove. [IMG][IMG]
