    Hello Slingshot Community friends!!!
Here's my latest natural frame, already completed and ready to be sent on a trade. Carved out from a very matured acacia tree fork (Acacia dealbata), it was finished with linseed oil and natural beeswax. The bands are my customary taper for 5 grams glass marbles, but were only placed for testing this weekend. After that, they will fly unbanded to its new owner. The shape, form and colour of this slingshot reminds me of bones, hence the name "Cross Bone".
    Hope you folks like it!!
    Cheers ...Q

Thank you so much for your appreciation, sir!!!
      You're very kind :)
Acacia is indeed a surprising wood. Light in weight, yet quite robust. When finished, can show one of the most amazing grain patterns. This one has the ability of shifting its direction, depending on the inclination towards light (almost like it has an iridescent quality)

THANK YOU so much for your nice reply, my friend!!
Sounds like a very interesting wood type, the sumac. I've read that it only thrives in sub tropical climate, so I guess it is impossible to find here.
      Best regards ...Q

Glad to receive such a feedback from an ARTIST like yourself.
Acacia can be surprisingly beautiful, for such a common wood. I had luck with this piece.

It looks like its embedded with silk. Or has a pearled clear coat. I feel like I would have to wash it off and clean it after every use. Very pretty, my friend.
