I really dig all the positive feedback and the community, here. So first I just wanna say thank you to everyone.
Y'all really make this more fun for me and I really do appreciate it. [emoji110]
This is my 3rd slingshot I've whittled-up. This one is for my brother.
I didn't spend a lot of time making it pretty, yet, because I want him to shoot it a bit and tell me what he would like different before I do a little embellishment on it and give it a leather lanyard and some sorta finish.
The wood is the 2nd half of the oak branch I made my dad's slingshot out of previously. I thought it'd be cool for my brother and pop to have slings from mirrored matching oak slabs from our property. ..they both liked em. [emoji851]
Like I said, it ain't finished. I left some meat on it so I can make it comfortable for him later. But I sure like the feeling of that big belly knot in the palm swell. I'll definitely do that again. I don't dig the bottom fork. I jacked that up straight off. No fixing that. Lol but it's super comfortable to me, although, the thumb and finger valleys will be deeper when I finish it, I'm sure.
Anyway.. I handed it off to him tonight and he's already learned not to use a stump as a target, in the dark, close range. Ha! He called and said: "it shoots straight! They come straight back, too!!" Lol.. I love that dude.
Here's way too many pictures of that adventure t'day. [emoji116]
Hope y'all are having as much fun as I am. [emoji95]
