Is there an iPhone application that can measure the speed of your ball?

Yeah. But you would do better with a cheap Chrony. A lot less hassle. Most apps require that you shoot 2 surfaces and it averages.

I tried the Chono Connect app and never could get it to work at all. Followed the setup closely from SS Forum and still nothing.

Which brand/model of chrony is the one to use these days? Most info that I can find in the slingshot forums is old info,

DanKung introduced a very affordable model several years ago that is now available through a number of outlets.

It's not fancy, but seems to work reliably. Can record Meters per Second or Feet per Second and provides a 5 shot average and shot review.

Ray, thanks. I'll search for that and and the Caldwell unit that Steve (StringSlap) mentioned in another thread.

MIDWAYUSA.COM under a hundred. I have a G2 Caldwell but I have air guns, that said if I did not have air guns I would put my money in more slingshot stuff or boos and cigars and dog treats.

Ok Sammy, we got a Chony on the way!

I checked out the MidwayUSA site and very good prices. Thanks Cruiser for the tip. Just bought a Caldwell unit for $85 and free shipping. No need for the light kit as I could only dream of shooting indoors. Inside shooting "aint gonna" happen 'round here. Will be here one day next week. Now I can confirm that I get the same 265 fps that everyone else gets! :fp:

But like everyone, I have my questions about tapers and elastics that will only be seen by having a chrony on hand. Plus, I can work on those SSF badges for ultimate speed!

Thanks Ray, Steve, Flipgun, and Cruiser for your input.
