The original is about as wide as I can handle.
How does that walnut wonder compare to the original 66mm width?

After looking at the blown up pic, I figured it was something to do with a sander…..I do the same a lot on my 10” disc sander….bout the same as a bad road rash from a motorcycle wreck.

It turned out at 70mm across I would not go bigger that’s for sure . Was a little short on thickness and had to fudge it a little but that was probably for the best . Hey check it out to my other black walnut conus it’s the granddaddy haha

I swear this belt sander has it out for me it’s like a wild beast . Talk about road rash I remember a guy on a 500 CR no shirt and shorts .doing catwalks on this old gravel road and he put it over went down hard just full of gravel . He told me at the hospital they rubbed his back with a brush get the gravel out he said hurt more the crash haha ;-) moral story road rash sucks

yep, 1/2" pipe is my standard, do it all along the frame, then adjust the gap a bit to make it same width, it will eat some fork tip width (maybe 1 to 2 mm) but not a big deal for most band cuts
