    Dear Friends,
    Sorry for my strange question.
I want to make sure that I do the basics correctly.
I make my pouches from pieces of an old leather purse.
One side of my pouches is smooth and the other side Is a little fluffy.
So far I have considered the fluffy side as inside of the pouch and the smooth side as outside of the pouch.

Seeing a photo in the forum I was thinking maybe if I use the fluffy side of the pouch as outside of the pouch it provides a better grip and maybe the smooth side as inside the pouch helps a cleaner release :pompus:

Probably I'm overthinking but I want to know you opinion!

    What do you think?

If you use the same kind of pouches, which side do you consider as inside or outside of the pouch?

Do you think it makes any difference?

    Wishing you all the best
    Hamid

Smooth side out. No issue with grip.

    Smooth side out for most.
I have one I banded up smooth side in, and it works fine for me, so I haven't changed it.

    Dear Friends,
Thanks a lot for your answers.
I love this forum, here I improve my slingshot skill as well as my English, thank you my friends.

Reading your comments seems like there is no right or wrong in that regard.
So far I have always considered the slick side as the out side of the pouch, probably because leather products look that way :)
I have had no grip problem so far, However I shoot very light setup with very little drawing weight.
I will tie a setup the other way and give it a try.

Thank you again for your answers
    Wishing you all the best
    Hamid

i use slick side out . usually shoot warrior roo leather samurai but the non slick side isnt as fuzzy.
These pouches are crazy nice I shot this one for a year and I only changed it to try the navy seal by warrior with the canvas back.

When do you guys change your pouch? When they break?? I kinda like the soft broken in feeling of a well worn pouch. 20210625_122849.jpg

I change my pouches when they break.
I also prefer them used and soft.

    Dear Friends,
Today I tied 2 pouches the other way (slick side inside) and gave it a try.
I don't know if it was just psychologically or not, but I my hit rate was slightly increased.

Thank you all for your answers.
    Wishing you all the best

I have experimented with both and now always have smooth side in rough side out.
I think the rough surface out gives better grip but thats just my personal preference.

I like the smooth side out with leather pouches. But...on the fiber, asian pouches I use, the inside is smooth, outside ruff. I know this as my pouches cradle the shot on the inside.
