Ok lol it the name of this wood from Congo Africa , I always thought it was called wedge butt it’s wenge
This took 1 1/2 hours to make and only used 1500 sandpaper by hand , no other hand tool :) I particularly do not like the word very much I don’t like how course it is a lot of pretty little holes everywhere it’s pretty but prettier when it’s not oiled I bet after a four kit or two this would not be any good . But looks nice on the wall as another conus of a different type of wood

Ok the beeswax has dried and the color came back it got real dark after waxing it was even prettier when it had no wax and just sanded to 1500 lol. it’s light and about
98% size in with it is about a quarter of an inch thinner but very good feel good fit .
I still don’t think it would be a very good wood for a fork hit ! But it will add to the wood species collection , lol thank to @Mr Muz I have my flex to shoot all I want ,shoot the pretty wood ones on Sunday lol The bocote one gets a lot of use also my small one

Beautiful and I think you are right about the wood. It is very brittle. Shelf Queen!
