This is a fork of black cherry that I harvested from my backyard. It's banded up with the simple shot pre-made band set made for .177/4.5mm through to quarter inch/ 6.5mm steel. I took her on her maiden voyage today. First time shooting a proper slingshot. I'm shooting .177/4.5mm steel BBs. For the time being I'm shooting short draw with an anchor point on my face and a hammer grip. I'm just instinctively shooting. Look at target with both eyes open and release. I'd call it Instinctive+, since I have an anchor. Was shocked at the accuracy I was able to achieve for the first go-around. I managed to hit a soda bottle cap at 10 yards and that blue piece of tape next to it was what I was using as my point of aim and I drilled it. Really excited to continue shooting this slingshot and developing my form. I'm getting a chronograph tomorrow as a graduation gift (god what a Time it is to be a High School senior) so I'll be curious what kind of speeds I'm producing. Anyway, this is pretty crude compared to everybody else's naturals but it's mine and I'm liking it quite a bit. [IMG]

Congratulations on your HS graduation. Good luck on your life path forward.

That is a slingshot to be very proud of. Shoot the heck out of it! But don't loose it, and someday you can pass it on to someone special.

It’s a fun hobby/ sport/hunting tool. A good way to focus and learn small nuances.
Have no Mercy, learn, network, find your way and passion in life. So many things are changing: Marketing, manufacturing, logistics, media, way of life, healthcare, so many things. Slay any obstruction in your path. Set a goal, plan, stride the peaks and valleys on your adventure to your goal. Never never give up. You might have to adjust goals but keep humping your way one step at a time. Hunt the good. Glad your here and share your new hobby.

That is as classic as Flippery gets, man.

The .177 bb's will develop a killer release and accuracy. I am not going to middle age man advice you to boredom. But hang onto that one. It will be a great keepers and fun forevah!

Considering the homage and the bandset choice, I'd say you have been doing your homework. That's a good looking shooter.
Congratulations on completing high school during a pandemic!
And welcome to the fraternity, brother.
