Sorry guys,,, I meant that to indicate the handedness of the person, then the hand they use to hold the pouch..so... A left handed person holding the pouch in the left hand would be the indicated poll choice for that one. Gimme a break, I had to add the fifth row because I couldn't edit the choices,,, even after I switched browsers and tried desktop mode .. It's kinda like India, where ya don't eat with your left hand . Except in this case ya don't borrow a lefty's shooter . I never realized how personal these things are . . Thinking carefully before borrowing another man's cellphone . And damn sure I ain't putting it to my ear..
I think this is mostly tied up with your eye dominance. I'm right-handed but left eye dominant. I can shoot opposite if I try, but I have to "force" myself to make my right eye sight picture the dominant view (or squint/shut my left eye). Since I shoot left-handed (pouch in left), I've come to favour lighter bandsets and smaller ammo. The advantage is that by holding the sling in my right (stronger) hand, I usually can hold things pretty steady and just focus on my pouch release.
Right hand dominant, rigth hand frame hold but right eye dominant, two against one so trained my left eye to aim since I started pointing a year ago
Good point, in my childhood, the way to aim a slingshot was 100% intuitive, if someone tried to point from any part of his face, the elders corrected him, maybe that's why I did not develop the habit of holding the fork with my left hand
I see I'm the only lefty who holds his pouch in his left hand. Weird. I'm a mutant too of course like others who stated a mix of hand dominance. I eat, write, and shoot with my left hand so I think that's why I'm a lefty. But I play guitar right-handed and throw with my right hand. Shooting pistols is as easy with either hand but I think that might be a common feat as well considering all the cowboys who armed themselves with twin 6-shooters.
Everything from bow and arrow to fishing pole slingshot is right handed eat left handed cut with knife right handed, write right handed throw right handed but I catch left handed. But as for sling it's just eye dominance if I try left its like some voodoo shooting and I hit my hand with ammo. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Right handed, can only close my right eye. Can only shoot worth a shit holding the fork left in my left hand and shooting intuitively. I can force my self into right hand hold and aim down the bands but it's hard to not hurt myself. I've always shot lefty bc of my wonky eyes Sent from my SM-S920L using Tapatalk
I’m left eye dominant but right handed...sucks too be me and my left hand is to stupid to do anything but hold the frame
I'm right handed, left eye dominant. Hold slingshot in my right hand - it just doesn't work any other way for me. Tried so many times but it just doesn't line up or feel right. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
I hold the OPFS in my right hand. But any TTF or frameless i hold in my left hand. After many practice with all kinds of techniques i concluded that the above works best for me.
