First frames i made were with band grooves, later someone on the forum advised as not Being strictly necessary, so i just stopped doing them...

And it really does not make any difference at all, and since i'm not the best at making them i'd rather not, just risk crapping out a nice frame, if you really are set on doing band grooves, check out some videos on how to do them right

I like band grooves. The method that I use to make them depends on the style of slingshot.

I find that sometimes I need band grooves. So I use them.
Sometimes I don't need them, and leave the file in the box.
And sometimes, I just want band grooves.

A little yes but mostly no. It depends on how much curve I have on the forks.

I usually don't but since I like to tinker I'll add them sometimes. That being said, they seldom come out perfect, even being careful using knifes and files.

Band grooves are not necessary but can help line up bands evenly when attaching them. It is just personal preference, on natural forks I'm not a fan but on other frames I like to see them.

I agree, depends on the style frame and personal or artistic preference. I like to make the Axiom Champ. Some that have made them for themselves have not used the grooves. I like the grooves for two reasons. The look it gives when unbanded as I make the groove just appear around from the back to slightly come around to the front.

Think though, the groove is covered so my artistic touch is covered when banded. But the groove rounding the corner will make less rubber protrude to the inside of the yoke. With the narrower fork width of a Champ I'd rather less sticking out. Just my particular reasons.
