I finished these 2 up and figured I'd add them so we could try to keep track this year. I don't wanna take away from the Homemade section so add pictures if you wish or just chime in with your next build and add to the total. 2!

Looks like a couple of heavy hitters! Nice!

I have a couple in the works. Coming soon if I can manage a little shop time.

Well if I counted right, this is the #8 build of this thread. Don't forget to add up with your post of a new sling. Otherwise, Jake will need to all his fingers and toes plus anything else that sticks out to keep a running total. Great idea for a thread and I'm happy to post my 1st build for the new year.

Like a few of us have mentioned to focus more on natural builds this year, I turned to my bucket of Dogwood that I harvested last spring. Nothing real special and just wanted something to get me on track with working with real wood again.

Stripped down this forked branch which needed nearly no carving and created a sweet little PFS frame. Inspired by a Natty I just received from Darrell, I angle drilled a lanyard hole in the base. Doesn't really show in the picture, but it's there. The Dogwood is a little dark in color and after a few hours soaking in some BLO, it turned a dark rich brown. Looked like a good simple frame to try improving my CA finish skills too. Buffed it up this morning and really happy with how it looks, feels, and shoots.

It was on target from 10 meters with the 2nd shot at a spinner. Proceeded on to cutting cans after a few spinner shots.

Don't forget to keep a running total, so we'll know how many were made.
