Does anyone have an idea what this fork is? I found it in a brushpile in Tennessee and from the outer bark I assumed it was Maple. It has some very interesting inner bark that I'm going to try to leave on. 0814201032.jpg 0814201032a.jpg 0814201034.jpg 0814201034a.jpg

It is not a strange pattern for me.
I've seen its colors and grain somewhere else before.
Could it be ash?? Looks like it, especially green ash. Please, post a pic of its inner grain or rings.
      Just an opinion :)
      Cheers ...Q

Ha!!! It's been sitting in the basement for a while, with a few others that need finishing. I'll get on it, I promise. It does look good so far.

A few hours in a bag with some BLO has darkened it a bit but that has also really high lighted all the different grain. My photo skills are lacking but this one is very nice. 0914202259.jpg 0914202300.jpg 0914202300a.jpg

Nice! I want to say ash too, but not 100% sure.
