All Right guys, here is the thing...
Since i started shooting, i first took a glance at feihu forks and decided that i wanted one, i've never held one or seen one personally and always figured they would be on the larger size, really dont know why i came to that conclusion but they looked big to me, so i never bought or tried making one before.

a little while ago, i was browsing GZK page, and came across the measurements of the Feihu forks, turns out they are tiny as hell!! 70 mm total width!! and 13 mm posts!!

so i had a huge a$$ mezquite fork laying around and decided to make one of my own, here it goes.

i dont have any pics of the original fork, but here it is, after a long rasping session.

After the rasping i found it had a huge ass crack on the middle of the fork, nothing to compromise the integrity, so i epoxied it with a little watercolor powder and kept on going

After that, as you guys know, just sand until your fingers come off at the hinge...

finished up to 2000 grit, gave it a light wax with a home made mixture of caranauba, beeswax and turpentine.

Hope you guys enjoyed the little trip down the building (or sanding) road.

Now to band it up with some thin light bands and see if we can hit something with if, if not, there is always a place for it on the "Box o' trading slings"

      Thanks for your comments guys!!

You cant really tell by the pictures, but it really is a small frame, just so you can get an idea, here is a picture with 10mm bands, (that would be about 3/8 american....)

I'm really impressed by how small feihu forks are...

Looks like you nailed the style!
That Mesquite sings, and the finish is top notch.
I bet you will love shooting it!

Thanks for all your kind comments guys, I'm kinda liking it so far, i shoot full butterfly and i find that since it's a smaller frame, my reference point has to be much higher than normal, almost to the corner of my eye, which by the way, is kinda scary to shoot...

But really comfortable sling so far
