The past 4 days have been a whirlwind of fun, friends, slingshots, & very little sleep. It started this past Thursday. I left GA at 8 a.m. headed to Richmond, VA to pick up master sling maker and shooter Mone Waller. Upon picking him up we drove up to Alverton, PA for the ECST. Guys, if you haven't been to this you need to go. It's amazing. Shooting, laughing, and just plain fun. Long days and even longer nights. You'll learn things without even knowing you're learning. We had planned to start our part of the comp on Saturday. Mone, his lady friend Tara, Fowler, and a couple others were on the roster. Everything was set to go until my phone rang Friday night at 8. My wife was in labor and had to have an emergency C-section. My son Benjamin was born at 9:57 on June 4th. We celebrated in fine style at the ECST, and everything was good to go until my mom called at 4:30 Saturday morning. Ben was being flown to Erlanger hospital in Chattanooga, TN. I slept till 6, got up and headed out. I made it to Erlanger at 9 that night. My son's lungs are slightly underdeveloped and got fluid in them from the C-section so he's going to be there for a couple of weeks. He's getting better everyday and I'm sure is going to be slinging with the rest of us before long.
I came home yesterday to get my daughter from her aunt and uncle, and it was like Christmas in June! I had a huge pile of slingmail! A couple from guys on the forum, and some from other places. The most interesting is one of the foldable frames. Everyone needs one of these! They're great little pieces of kit and extremely well made. I've already ordered 2 more! They come with and without clips and they make one for tubes. All in all, it's been a great time!
