    Greets!
First time poster, long time viewer. I thought I would create an account finally to share a rare moment in my slinging addiction/hobby.

On my way to work I saw what I believed to be a quail on the side of the road (rare sight in southern Michigan). So I stopped realizing it was not, and took an amazing shot on this non-native species. Turns out there was a dog training facility in the area for upland birds.
Setup: ppmg+ OTT, green GZK 0.66, 8mm steel.

Nice to see a fellow Michigander! There are no seasons on chukar in Michigan, and can be taken year round. It is a non-native species brought solely for upland hunters.

    Wow . . . Congratulations!

I've hunted chukar before, (with a shotgun though). They are a 'wiley', extremely difficult bird to get in range of in my experience. Taking one with a slingshot is quite an accomplishment in my book.

I hunt mostly in the Coldwater area bishop, 99.9 percent of the game is squirrel/rabbits. Just got lucky.

Thank you! Haha I imagine it would be much harder hunting them out west.
