Undefined Choke cherry natty

    Wild choke cherry. So far it's about the worst wood I've worked with. It has hard and soft spots making carving difficult. When sanding it just kinda gets fuzzy. Giving it a velvety feel and soft look. But with a bit more sanding it should look good. First one for the left hand so hopefully its right. IMG_20210302_182321.jpg

      Love the shape. I have put on a layer of teak oil let it soak in the wood dryed it off and then done my final sanding it seems to help with the fuzzy parts.

      No shortage of Choke Cherry here, it's an interesting wood to work with. I like Hippy's idea.

      Yeah, definitely a unique wood for me. kinda cool to have something nice come from it.
