The notorious @Ibojoe has posted a couple of “Spoonrest” natural forks. I confess I was smitten. It is one of the most dramatic approaches to shaping a raw fork that has come along. So here’s my attempt - cedar. Shaped mostly with a rasp. Finished with Tru-Oil.

I got a little radical on the curves and went out to the bark in a couple of places. But, what the heck, it is a natural fork! LOL!

Fits in the hand very nicely, and shoots great!

Ray, I agree with everyone and it is quite stunning and innovative. When I grow up, I want to make slings like you and Ibojoe. Would love to see a shooting video of of this one. Hard to imagine how the curves fit to the hand. (Unless I had one of my own )

Hope the Oscar Blue can image is before shooting? :fp:

      Thanks, buddy!
But saying you want to make slings like Ibojoe is like saying you want to work magic! You know he has made a couple like this with metal cores!!!???
And yes, we got around to shredding the Dale's can!
