Been using 550 cord tied across to hold my targets since I started this obsession. Got tired of having to tightening and retying

    Took a trip to Lowes now I have 2 3/16 rods with 3/16 rubber washers a stops[IMG][IMG]

Half the fun of shooting is building another catch box!

Cons: you're GONNA hit that frame.
Pros: quick and easy to fix.
Your use of 1" is cool! My 2" frames are easier to hit and more expensive to repair. I later put pipe insulation over them (was just laying around) and they can take maybe 5x more hits before breaking.
Now wife wants her blanket back...

Why does it call me "new" member? Joined almost 5 years ago, I think.

I think it has to do with the amount of posts you have.
    Cheers!

This frame is going on a year old I've never hit it. Stays outside. Its 5 ft tall by 3 ft wide. My wife hit it once with clay

All set up ready for action..

At least your upgrading.I've been procrastinating.Last summer bodgered together a similar stand from the junk (aka treasure) pile. Just pounded couple lengths of rebar into the ground and slid the vertical pvc onto the bars. Only shooting from 10 meters. Never hit the pvc. Problem I had was the recycled shower curtain hung from the "temporary" hammock stand. Wind would blow the curtain around. Most of the times tensioning it to the point that resulted in ammo bounce back.

Was going to make the garbage can catch box for the outdoor range. Then saw the posts about the long cone style. Already purchased the 33 gal Rubbermaid can. So back to the original plan. Time to get the butt in gear. Looks like Spring has arrived early this year. Ice is already out of the S. Channel. Early vs. the old "normal" ice out by the end of the 1st week in April.

So you don't like Uni-cs. I need a raccoon target to vent some anger.
