I was shooting pretty well tonight, so I figured I'd attempt a card cut for the first time. Shooting my Island Made Heavy Hitter with 5/16 steel at 22'. First shot was so close that I think I would have hit it if I was using bigger steel. That near miss bolstered my confidence so I kept at it with a positive attitude. A few more very close calls and then connected on the 7th shot. So close to a complete cut!

Agreed. Probably the sticky spiderweb that kept it from a complete cut. Great shooting!

cut_2.jpg Another close one. Seven must be my lucky number because that's the shot that hit, just like the first. I think the issue is also that my clamp is not fixed in any way. It's just standing on end holding the card up. So the whole thing falls over when I hit the card.

FWIW I do not consider these as failures. These are proof that I've improved to the point where I can hit a very difficult target. Now I just need an excuse for when I miss a can!

I've found that having the card fixed or just hanging does not make a difference, i myself hang it from a tiny clamp which in turn hangs from a wire, so it kinda swings around, i have no idea how to upload a video or i would show you, just keep on trying!! you'll get it!
