Was about to buy my first rolls for making my own bands, wanted to ask first. Does one perform better than the other?

Not tried the sumeike but I'm in love with the yellow 0.55 precise! Great band life, band tension and performance.

Is there a precise band good for .177 caliber bbs?

I don't think there is much between them but like AZ I got sumeike for no real reason other than to try it and I like it. I shoot lead beans and 10 to 12mm steel so can't help you with the bbs. If you get either one and don't like it then you have a community here who will take it off your hands in trades or if you sell at a reasonable price.

I prefer the Precise line. You have to be really careful as there are plenty of fakes out there. I have had both Sumeike and Precise break at weird locations when I get the fake. If you get the real stuff, it still occasionally has issues of a similar nature with the Sumeike but less so with the Precise line. Look through the latex closely before cutting your bands.

For 4.5mm (0.177") steel, you can drill soda cans from side to side without the need for very thin bands. just cut your 0.7mm regular bands 10mm to 7mm taper and 50mmx10mm pouch :) +/- 400 shots

FWIW, SimpleShot sources Precise directly from the manufacturer, so you can be certain it is the real deal. It is really good latex!

If I was in the USA I would. Shipping to Canada kills it for me, so I ordered from another member who had posted on here.

I would hope the Mods/Admins would red flag any potential fake sellers who have posted here. I felt safe ordering from them, they arrived and look authentic to me.

I am so excited to try out different tapers and pouch types on all the latex. I have a bad feeling that I’m bout to turn into a latex collector.

I have pink .45 sumike and grey. 45 precise . Some rave about the pink sumieke and others are head strong on precise. It all comes down to personal preference and I happen to like the .45 grey precise a tad more but that's just my opinion.
