      If they are too slick they seem a little hard to hold on too. I like the texture on this piece very subtle. Any day witling is a good day to me. Be proud of yourself that looks like a good solid companion you created. It looks like something I would shoot, so I may be a little bias.

      I agree, back when I had a good supply of wood I was carving a spoon a day. I'll get back on that when this is over

      It's a Japanese pull saw fine tooth one side more aggressive on the other side unlike other saws they cut on the pull stroke instead of the push stroke it allows for thinner blades and they are awesome to cut with if you try one you won't regret it,all the best my friend
