    Hi all,
Just bought my first slingshot, a new Scout LT and am going to loose some 7/16" steel this weekend.
It took a few weeks to get it due to zero stocks here in Aus and the US mail block. The local distributor got a new shipment in late last week(great timing!).
So I finished making my new 200 litre catch barrel last night and I'm just about ready to go..... Sunday as I work tomorrow.:D

    G'day again,
    Progress so far.....

I don't know the correct terminology but I let 50 fly TTF at a 23cm black dot paper plate from 5m first attempt.....I SUCK!:D
Got about a dozen on(maybe) but most were low and left, with 3x 7/16" steelies lost wide.
I drew back to my ear and chafed the skin under my cheekbone. BTW I am right handed(frame hand?) and left eye dominant.

The second morning, with an upright stance and a different anchor point on my face, OTT 50 at 5m achieved 90%+ on the paper plate, 5 taking out the centre 20mm orange dot. My 33yo son Damo even managed to get on target within several shots and dad's amateur coaching.
I also scored a hand hit which removed a good divot of skin..... didn't hurt much but I bled like a 57yo..... pushed the frame too far forward.

That's when my aim went off and handed on to my son.
Had a few shots after him and back on target.

To sum up, I need to find consistency all round including pouch grip and release.

Don't know what happened, I didn't intentionally put those empty files there.

    Update

So as you can see I had a little extra paracord and wrapped the LT..... feels good and covers the ugly forkhit dent(ouch) on the lower left.

I have progressed out to 7m and my cheek anchor point has drifted back to a floating one at the ear..... not as accurate yet but shows promise, is much less restricting and more free feeling.
Paper plates got boring so on to can smashing today which has brought the smile back even when I missed 50% and could see clearly where the steel flew.
Posty just delivered a set of the white/red micro-fibre swingers so it's all happening.
Next I have to get onto making my own bands as I'm burning through my supply of expensive locally supplied SS black band sets which aren't lasting long with a 150-200 shot span. I know exactly the items I want/need from where and have started slowly gathering.

Thanks for your ear and Hi from Aus.:)
