      Hey Preacher,

That cherry with Birch core looks sweet. What type of finish did you put on it? Also were these something you designed or did you use a printable template? If so is it sharable. I love the design and wouldn't mind cutting some out to test. Thanks.

All though the wood was cherry I put a coat of cherry stain on it to enhance the woods appearance. Then 4 coats of gloss wipe on polyurethane.

As for the design, I didn't have a template to start with l saw one on the internet while doing a Google search for slingshot pics.

I just started sketching out something until it looked some what like the picture, I cut out several before l got what I wanted.

I can't take the credit for the design, l learned later it was call a FUG, and a guy named Matt designed it, he also sales them.

The one I'm making does not have the same dimensions as his does, I later purchased one from Matt and the forks are not as wide as the one I'm making, everything else is fairly close but not the same.

Also regarding your question about the template, I do have copies of the one I'm making, the thing is, I'm not sure that it would be right of me to post it sense it's so close to Matt's design.

I feel that Preacher. I will draw one out until I find the right feel like you suggested. Looks like a frame that spreads the pressure points of a pinch grip out well. I use heavy hunting bands and am trying to get the whole hand involved in distributing the force of the slingshot frame. Your setup looks like it would do that well.

2 very nice Fugs, Reverend! Matt is a super cool guy and I'm sure if you reached out to him about any questions or concerns he would be quite receptive.

I also use very heavy bands as well, that's why I like this design so much.
You're right, it does spread the pressure points of the pinch grip out well, which makes it very easy to shoot with heavy bands.
