I posted these on the PFS thread.
Hope it's a'ite to post here, too.

    Both are oak.

The flat & fat PFS I cut and sanded yesterday, but it was way too smooth and slippery for my hand.

So today I tried my hand at carving some gun stock style checker pattern and a couple dimples to see if I could get a grip. ..still to be determined if I was successful or not.

The Fat & Twisted joint is an evolution of another one I made for Monroe last week(I think it was last week?)based on the PFS Mule.
I dug shooting it, so I made one for myself t'day. [emoji16]

I'll let y'all know how they shoot, one way or the other, tomorrow when I band em up.

I appreciate y'alls support here. ..this is fun! [emoji110]

Jimmy, your work is amazing! You definitely have a good handle on this carving thing. (Pun intended)

I think I might have a package waiting for me when I get home. I'm on business travel this week and looking forward to the weekend.

Thank you. I'm having fun with these.
The sun is finally coming up here in Cali, so I'm going out for a fling.

I haven't checked the tracking but it should be there I think. I'm looking forward to hearing how it shoots for ya!

What!!? Posted these twice! Oh the nerve!
But, personally, I enjoyed looking at them both times.
And I forgot to thank you for posting the build photo, before.
There are probably rules for this forum somewhere. And somebody probably read them some time ago.
They don't come up very often, and nobody complains about that!

The most interesting part, for me, are build pictures. I really like seeing what materials folks start with. What tools they choose, and where their imaginations take them.

Finished pictures are great, too, but I dig the progress pictures the most.

Im glad I'm not alone in that weirdness, brother. Ha!

      Thank you again, man.
