Hello everyone from SE Alaska -
I'm new to this forum. This is actually the first forum I've joined, so be patient with me. I have a renewed interest in slingshots. Since I was a kid actually. I am very excited to start making and hunting with slingshots. I am an avid fly fisherman, and chase steelhead, salmon, and trout in the rain forest of Southeast Alaska. When I'm pounding the water with my fly rod I often run into grouse. We call them hooter here. To make a short story longer. Ha ha! I also find myself without a means to shot them. Mostly because I've left my .22 rifle in the truck. Because it's to cumbersome to carry a rifle when your chucking flies. So I thought a slingshot would be the perfect thing to reach out to those grouse. Anyway I'm very excited about this forum and learn from you guys. Oh ya I did catch a grouse with my fly rod last spring while steelhead fishing. Called it out of the trees. It landed on the bank and I casted and casted until I snagged it. A slingshot would be a lot easier. Merry Christmas everyone!
