    Hi folks!

Just bought my first slingshot rifle after "wrist rocketing" for decades. It's great! Watching videos on the Slingshot Channel on YouTube (love that German!) I saw there were bands I could retrofit the rifle with that would be a good deal more powerful. Pragmatically though, if the draw load gets too high, the risk level in operating might be bad. I'm wondering if mechanically the fork could be torn off (just 2 screws holding it against the slide bar ends) or slide bars themselves could buckle? (Yikes).

Advice for how much over the typical tan/red or tan/green stock bands the rifles come with that you can step up to is asked for. The fork holds what seems to be the typical 8 bands, but I imagine you could go down to 4 and start with a shorter free length and get similar power (and potentially more speed?).

Look forward to connecting with other folks who've gone from wrist rockets to rifles. Advice more than appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Todd
