Thanks a lot for sharing Sir.
Is there any special reason that you prefer tubes?

    Wishing you a great time

    Hello Sir,
    Thank you for the advice.
I'm sure I have not understood Master Arturo's method for aiming correctly.
I have worked on it for a few weeks, but I was not very successful.

The Projection aiming method seems very attractive to me because it makes my aiming independent from fork width.
Here is how I tried to aim and shoot using (what I think is) the Projection aiming method,
I look at the target trough the fork gap to adjust the level , then try to match the gap line between the bands with the target but as I draw the bands I don't know any more if the gap between the bands is in line with the target!
I try to guess, if target and bands are in line but since guessing is involved my results are not very promising (2 or 3 out of 10 shots).
This way of aiming/shooting even when I hit the target there is not much of joy in it for me.
I'm believe I have not understood Master Arturo's aiming method correctly!

But Since 2 days ago I have tried Ray's advice for aiming and I seems to work for me very good.
Yesterday evening I could inconsistently hit the target from 8 meters.

By the way I read the post in your profile about the biopsy, I hope you are in great health by now.

    Wishing you all the best
    Hamid

Thank you. Pointing/pushing the forks towards the target was part of Dguis advice on shooting a pts that helped me. I was supposed to have had my prostrate removed yesterday but the robotic arm did not pass inspection check before surgery-so supposedly tomorrow. I try not to laugh and cry at the same time! :)

About the surgery, a friend of mine now 41 had the same surgery 3 years ago (I know too young).
He says now everything works normal.;)
From his surgery and the side effect he has only funny stories to tell :)
All the best for your fastest recovery:tu:

Longevity I suppose cos I hate rebanding frames . So tubes are easy no mucking about with cutting different tapers either .

Just stick your holding hand as high as u can on the 1/2” gap and pull back and let go .
That’s what I did ! Yes broke my thumb... and learned from there about the twist and bump...but for real I’ve never had a frame where it aimed the same as another my bone’s aim derf. Than my conus both pfs and that changes with band sets. I quit aiming all instinctive shoot now

    Hello Sir,
Thank you for your advice, very much appreciate it:tu:.
I guess it will take me a long time to become good in instinctive shooting.
At the moment I have a lot of fun practicing projection aiming.
I don't hit much but it doesn't matter I enjoy the shooting, which is a true blessing because I mostly miss :).
By the way I always enjoy reading your posts.
To me it's amazing that you hunt with PFS from 40 yards :tu:.

Wishing you a lot of joy
    Hamid

I dont understand why more people dont shoot pfs with it vertically , but canted forward, that the way Ive had most sucess,, Ive tried sideshooting , dont do so good , hand hits , But the aiming line seems so direct , and I dont get many hand/fork shots with it vert. I used to before I started the forward cant I saw in a Ryan Moulden vid

    Steve,
    Thank you for your post.
I'm not sure if I understood correctly!
Do you mean like upward, soft shooting?

Exactly , like Dgui in his rock shooting vid, have you seen it? I watched it a few times at 25% speed to get his technique, When I had just started , I dreamed of shooting like him,,, but he is one of a kind , I cant , and realize it now , oh well, Im still having fun, His doubles and speed shooting are something amazing

    Steve,
I totally agree with you, most people are attracted to sideways shooting.
I think the reason is that by holding the frame upward you are limited to soft shooting, or maybe I’m wrong!:pompus:
For me upward shooting is involved with a lot of fork hits, I think for sideways shooting is more natural and comfortable.
But it's nice to be able to shoot upward and sideways, I'm willing to give it a try again.
This time I will tilt the frame forward.
But IMO, butterfly shooting is more fun, even when every now and then I scrape my cheekbone :)
Regarding Dgui, yes I have seen that video. His skill is amazing.

    Wishing you all the best
    Hamid

Im not sure why Dgui called it soft shooting ,, except when you shoot thumb up you cant draw back easily as far as thumb in or down, He did both , Im sure the mph is slower, but I watched a man on heres vid of him Soft shooting a can 18-20 on pfs bbs, that good enough for me, Im not a hunter anyway. If I was going to start over , I would go thumb in , but prob not down, but everybody has different goals ,,,, pfs is so fun

    Steve,
    You are right my friend.
Here is Dgui explaining both soft shooting and butterfly style.

good question, I usually aim low, and thru the V , but I think its kind of a combo of aiming and instinctual. Definately aiming plus feel,,theres not corner to aim off. That kinda what makes it fun to me. the aiming low kinda goes away past 12M
