Just got home from vacation in the u.p. of Michigan. My best friend caught our best walleye to date. It was 28” and from a natural lake. I’m proud of him because he did the right thing and released the old girl back into the lake to further ensure the future breeding. I told him that if it was under 23 it would definitely be in the cooler. I will try to get a picture up. I just wanted to share this with everyone. We are all stewards of the outdoors and we are the ones who have to preserve the future of our sport.

Darn right they are the best eating fish there is in my book! My buddy’s camp is near ishpeming, I think that’s how it is spelled, just one of the many lakes up there, seems there is a lake around every corner! Killed me to come home. But here in pa I have a home lake I fish for walleye and I will be out tomorrow night!!!! I’m jealous of anyone that lives up there as it is so wild and beautiful.
