    Hi everyone
I’m new to slingshot shooting and am already hooked. I want to try making my own bands and am trying to figure out what Warrior pouch to get. I have an Axiom Ocularis and shot 3/8” steel TTF. Can someone help me figure out what Warrior pouch I should order.

    Thanks
    George

Apache, samurai, the knight to name a few it has a lot to do with personal preference but go with the smallest pouch that you personally can shoot comfortably for that size ammo. Shitty answer for the shitty reality! Unfortunately one of those things you gotta play with to find your preferences

For 3/8 I really like the Samurai and Navy Seal. Samurai is definitely the favourite, but the NS is a close 2nd (especially if on PFS).

ETA - and try them in the microfiber or roo :)

Yup find your size or more than one size and buy a few different ones. You can always trade or gift them. Just wait till you try to figure which latex you want, thickness taper or straight. That is what makes this sport great, so many variables and really not that much money. Then you will want different frames, oh and your catch box..... then ammo... ammo holders....I have to many which one do I take camping or in the deer stand.......LOL what fun it is

Warrior pouches are excellent. The small bb pouches are my favorite that they make.

It has been a slow process to find what I prefer. Guessing it's similar with some, most others. The good thing is the reasonable price for slingshot stuff.

Sort of lost count of the different pouches I've tried. Smooth leather, pebble grained leather, laminated leather, thick Latigo leather, microfiber of various weights. Then add the variable of size. Shooting 3/8" steel ammo. Discovered I prefer smooth Kangaroo leather v. more grippy textured or microfiber or canvas laminated. Now it has been downsizing. 1st favorite were the Warrior Apache laminated Kangaroo version. Now prefer the kangaroo laminated model of the Warrior Samurai. Ordered the single layer kangaroo leather Warrior Ninja. The one recommended for 1/4" or BBs even though shooting 3/8".

Warrior kangaroo laminated seem to last forever. Like the nice pocket that forms after they break in.

Etsy is easiest. Just search for warrior pouches and it'll take you to the storefront.

Session shooting the recently purchased 5/16" and Samurai kangaroo laminated pouch. Personally would not use any pouch larger than the Samurai. Ninjas are in transit. USPS, so one must be patient. Looking forward to testing out the Ninja pouch and 5/16". Might be the sweet combo for what I prefer. The Apache are now reserve backup if I wear out the Samurai for shooting 3/8". Ok, just too long and a tad to wide for what I like.

Ninja pouches arrived a couple days ago. Berk sent a freebie. Looks like the leather Mongol, but is a laminated pouch. I like the Ninja for the 5/16 and 1/4" steel ammo. Still prefer the feel, but not the length of the Samurai for the 3/8" steel. Thinking that the Mongol laminated version might be the sweet spot for 3/8" and maybe the 5/16". 5/16 and 3/8" with the Ninja is a "hard feel". Guessing it is the thicker laminated Samurai that results in a soft feel when shooting 5/16 or 3/8" steel. I prefer the soft feel. Release is smoother and more consistent based on precision of misses and higher accuracy. The 1/4" in the Samurai disappear in the pouch. Way too big and thick.

Just went to Warrior Pouches. Either missed or the laminated version of the Mongol is not listed. Hope it becomes a stock item.

If you reach out to berk I know he’ll atleast consider doing custom pouches for you especially if it’s just a material request I was in contact with him about making me up a few roo/ canvas mongol pouches I absolutely love them for 8mm but love the navy seal for the grippyness in wet and cold conditions. So based on my experience I’m sure he’d accommodate single layered roo or any other material of your choice with any of his designs. Might cost ya but it beats buying a custom sling
