I finished these 2 up and figured I'd add them so we could try to keep track this year. I don't wanna take away from the Homemade section so add pictures if you wish or just chime in with your next build and add to the total. 2!

Thanks Darrell, still learning how to do the CA finish so it looks good. Dogwood is an interesting wood.

      Hope you are doing well?

Still a lot of good wood from my Dogwood tree that I took down early last spring. Not sure what to call this. Just a standard PFS cut from a hand sawn slice out of a trunk section. There were a couple cracks but they were filled with Dogwood sawdust and packed in with CA. Finish used is only CA, so all wood color is original. No BLO or other oils were used. Test drove it on a can just before dark.

Thanks Mike, Still in the learning curve for CA finish, but coming along.

Clint, thank you. Colorful wood is hard to find here in the southeast coastal area. I was real happy to learn that Dogwood has a lot to offer.

Alex, thank you. I'm slowly learning more about carving natural wood. This year's mission is to make more like this.

Thank you Jake, coming from a master builder like you that means a lot!

Thanks Darrell, I'm using a little bit of everything. I had a couple bottles of med and thin that had some age. So the viscosities were all over the place. I am still learning to use the thin and letting it flow more level.

Cool little bark on natty that I finished up last night. Soaked in Danish oil. The filler is green craft sand and CA.[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]
