Nothin but feathers

Dont know why im posting this, just thought it was funny as hell when it happened. Managed to get away late this afternoon and located a few doves feeding on the ground. Used a oak tree to sneak as close as i could. It was uneven ground with rocks sticking up so it was now you see the dove now you dont. One dove stopped moving and stuck its head up, it had its tail toward me so I took my shot. POOF! feathers everywhere and the dove flew away. I guess it dropped its head at the moment of the shot and the .44 lead just grazed its back. I snapped a pick but didnt get anywhere near all of it in it. O well, next time

Now there is a dove out there with a reversed Mohawk. Haha! Those lil suckers wont stay still when on the ground.

 

Must be the only critter in the area thats lived to tell the tale lol

 

I hope that little smart asss freezes to death. Reminded me of a fog horn leg horn cartoon when it happened.

 

Just made me chuckle thinking about that then...

A squirrel jumped on my mate once in a park - he was running around shouting and all I could think of was the monty python rabbit of death. I swear ive never laughed as hard in my entire life lol.

Atleast when you see him next you'll know which one he is now
