Check it out guys my newest video! I'm really proud of it. This target is completely free standing, stable and can be used with throwing knives, throwing tomahawks, throwing spikes, throwing spears (all tested already or course) and just about anything with a point! I hope you guys enjoy and don't forget to subscribe if you haven't already!

Great video man. I've been real interested in tomahawk's lately... so this would come in real handy.

Thanks! I need some new tomahawks I think mine are screwed up. They don't stick all that well so idk whats wrong with them but I am in love with my throwing spikes. I forged them up on the anvil and they work even better than my expensive cold steel knives. Anyway I'm glad you enjoyed the video. In the next week or two I'm going to try to film a slingshot collection video. Right now I'm just trying to figure out where ill set them up then ill start the filming. So make sure to watch that when it comes out!

Looking good! Go to your local tree cutter and have them cut some 8" thick slabs for you, then attach them to you boards. That will save the boards and when the rounds start to wear out, just flip them around and you have some new targets.

The hawks have a tough time sticking into boards, unless you throw them really hard or they hit perfect with the grain. The rounds will take care of that. If you have problems with the rounds, then you might have to sharpen them.

      Keep throwing....tons of fun.

Ooh thanks for asking that Clever Moniker because I might be in the market for some myself any suggestions guys for something reasonably priced? I know what I'm doing with knives and spikes and all that but I never really got in to the tomahawks that much so I would really appreciate recommendations as mine are old and cheap.

I have (or have had) several of the cold steel hawks http://www.coldsteel.com/Product/90FH/FRONTIER_HAWK.aspx. Of course, you can always find them on ebay as well.

For knives, the cold steel is ok to begin throwing, but not what I would get anymore...they didn't hold up that well for me, and I was just starting out. Now, I'd go with Bill Page (https://www.facebook.com/groups/335822067151/) or Bobby Branton (http://www.brantonknives.com/) Both make outstanding knives and are used by world champions.

Sweet thanks for the links! I have always had trouble with the tomahawks hitting each other and splitting the handles or nicking the edge. Have you ever had trouble with that?

I set up a backboard and had 5 rounds on it so I didn't have to try to throw at the same target. I didn't want to beat up my gear. There are a lot of throwing groups out there and some of them are on facebook. If you would like some links to them, let me know and I can get send the ones that I know about.

I don't think there are any near me I'm in DC at the moment. At least I haven't heard of any groups and I never did get a facebook so idk know if I could view any links you sent but I'm up for anything you can give me. I'd love to be part of a group who actually threw knives and stuff.

The link for Branton knives isn't a Facebook page.

Here are a few more things to check out:

      http://www.akta-usa.com/

http://www.throwzini.com/index.html I have a set of 5 of "The Classic" knives. There is a great list of clubs from around the U.S. and all over the world.

      http://www.ikthof.com/.

http://www.thedangercommittee.com/ Watch some of their videos....these guys are nuts and have some mad skills. They throw knives, are world champ jugglers and have an awesome bunch of stunts. I have seen them several times.

Do a search for knife throwing and knife throwing groups.

      I hope this helps
