That came out really good. I think I'd leave that texture on that one. Looks rough and tough and very shinny too. Awesome job!

Haven't decided yet the texture I agree with its the colors of the micarta that you guys are missing. Currently it looks black but it's supposed to be black and brown which also looks very nice.

Hey @Bone what TPI blade are you using to cut the alli?
Most of my blades are 12 or 14 teeth per inch and I've never looked into anything else so this will be a good
    learning experience.

Ally is a wake up call when all you have been tinkering with is wood!
    Great little shooter.
    Must search this powder coating!

That is a good pitch for aluminum. The biggest thing is to remember when you are cutting thin stuff use finer pitch blade no matter how soft it is and the rule of thumb is to have 3 teeth or more on the edge your cutting or it tends to grab and take bigger chunks of material at a time wrecking the blade. Speed of the blade is another big factor. The harder the material, the slower you want your blade to move. Feed into the saw blade slowly and let the blade cut. Yes use a coolant for metals and I even use beeswax for woods that are hard. Heat is your enemy! And there is a huge difference in blade qualitys.
