        fill the holes with plastic wood, let it cure for several days and redrill or fill the holes with epoxy and saw dust and redrill. It can be saved !!

        It was after I oiled it up I used 2000 grit. Tried to use steel wool after to remove it. Maybe only 400 grit next time?

        I can't say for sure but it is very strong. Micarta is a rather general term. What will you be laminating? Cloth, paper....

        For that type of frame and stress it ought to last a few centuries :)

        I wouldn't get a table top bandsaw. I would look on craigslist for an old Delta 14". I got mine for $100. and you will be able to do much more with it than a cheap table top model.
        The old Delta's are all cast iron and bullet proof!

        I quit using metal cores all together. I don’t drill anymore but use a very high grade marine epoxy. As far as I know none of my shooters has separated.

        I always called them Chicago Bolts, but online they are usually listed as Chicago Screws. They are also great for putting on removable scales and swells.
