Warm water tenkara

Not been on the forum much lately. I've been busy with my other obsession. I have always loved fishing. I've been tenkara fishing for a short time and have gotten a bit hooked on it. Here are a few fish from this spring. I'm looking forward to catching some trout in few weeks.

Yes. It's a Hobie Pro Angler. An amazing boat. I've had it for years and have spent many a good day on the water.

 

Nice boat! I'm taking mine up to Emerald Bay on Lake Tahoe next month. It'll be it's first voyage outside the swimming pool.

All those bluegill are over 10".

Interesting fish! Are those what you guys over there call 'crappies'?

Ahhh, nice looking fish! I thought they were smaller than that...

 

The IGFA world record is 5lb 3oz. The biggest I've caught was almost 3lb. They grow pretty big where I live.

 

Love too catch specks and bream.

I absolutely kill'em with the beetle spin-BUT I remove the spinner and just use the jig/grub part. It looks like a larva/grub to them and ALL fish-even catfish- kill it! I don't know if you remember the Heddon Lucky 13, but when this grub is reeled in, it darts and moves almost exactly like the Lucky 13.
