Hello my friends, what you see here is a dogwood fork treated with steel wool and vinegar solution and sanded with 80 to 400 grit sandpaper, wetting the wood a few times while sanding made the sanding process more easy and the end result far better, and also the grain is more visible even is this is dogwood, type of wood that has pale or no colours at all if it's not dead.


I really liked the grey patterns, somehow it reminded me of the sky before a thunderstorm, you'll see what I mean.

I sealed the wood with 3 coats of BLO and applyed 7 coats of CA glue, getting better and better at this kind of finish, but I have to do this from now on only outside, that CA thing is nasty, it irritated my eyes and my throat. Anyway, I sanded it more with sandpaper (400 to 1200 grit), I like better the satin look on the finish.
