OTT "Mettelum" Natural Slingshot In Holm Oak

    Greetings Slingshot Community friends!!
    Here's my latest one, the "Mettelum" slingshot, carved from a very hard fork of azinho wood (Quercus ilex). This fork came from my grandparents old village on the eastern part of Portugal, called Medelim (the actual name of the village hailed from the ancient Latin name Mettelum). This slingshot was finished with some linseed oil and natural shellac. I've banded it for light ammo (3 grams) but it can take all sorts of heavy bands. This is some strong wood indeed.

    More than like it Q, that wood is amazing looking and it's a great looking frame shape as well.
    I bet it has a lot of power for heavier ammo but nice to see you using it for the lighter stuff.

    It is indeed a very hard wood. It took its toll on the carving knifes @Repro
    As for the video, I have a hunch that some friend other than me might post it. It would be nice to see!!

    Okay, I know the one.
    I use flex cut knifes but have thought about getting a mora from time to time. seen a couple with the tips snapped off though so not got one yet
